Family Friendly Films

Grab your popcorn and join us for Free Family Friendly Films on Fridays at 3:30 PM in the Community Room! This February, we’re celebrating winter with two cool classics. On February 6th, watch Snow Buddies (rated G) as the adorable puppies take on the Alaskan wilderness in a heartwarming adventure. Then on February 20th, feel the rhythm with Cool Runnings (rated PG), the inspiring true story of Jamaica’s first bobsled team at the Winter Olympics. All ages are welcome for these cozy afternoon screenings. See you at the movies!

Young League of Writers

Calling all teen writers ages 12-18! Join the Young League of Writers on Wednesdays, February 11 and 25 from 4:00-5:30 PM in the Community Room. In the first half of each session, we’ll share our writing with each other using the red, yellow, or green light system to indicate the level of feedback you’d like to receive—giving you control over your creative process. Then we’ll dive into a writing marathon, dedicated time for you to work on poetry, short stories, a novel, or anything in between. This is your space to grow as a writer and connect with fellow storytellers. All writing levels welcome!

AsiaPop!

Celebrate Lunar New Year with AsiaPop! on Thursday, February 12 from 4:00-5:30 PM in the Community Room. Teens ages 12-18, join us as we ring in the Year of the Snake by creating beautiful paper lanterns decorated with gems, glitter, and other sparkly materials. Each participant will leave with a bright, bedazzled lantern to bring good luck into the new year! AsiaPop! is your passport to exploring Asian cultures through movies, shows, crafts, delicious recipes, and traditions from across Asia—all while having fun and making friends. No prior experience needed, just bring your creativity and curiosity!

Dungeons & Dragons

Roll for initiative! Join us for Teen Dungeons & Dragons on Friday, February 13 from 3:30-5:30 PM in the Community Room. In this classic tabletop role-playing game, you’ll create your character, choose how they interact with the story, and use dice to decide the outcomes of your actions as you embark on epic adventures. Experienced players are welcome to bring their own character (made using only the core 5th Edition Player’s Handbook), while newcomers can choose from pre-made characters. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or a first-time hero, all skill levels are welcome. Grab your dice and prepare for an afternoon of imagination, storytelling, and fun!
