Calling all adventurers! Dive into a world of imagination, strategy, and camaraderie with our new Dungeons & Dragons program for adults. Whether you're a seasoned Dungeon Master or a curious beginner, this is your chance to embark on epic quests, battle fearsome foes, and shape your own story in the world’s greatest tabletop role-playing game.

Led by an experienced Dungeon Master, each session will transport you to fantastical realms where the only limit is your creativity. New to D&D? No problem! We'll provide pre-made characters and guidance to get you started on your journey. Come solo or with friends to forge alliances and make memories that will last a lifetime.

• When: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

• Where: Madison Library District Community Room

• Who Should Attend: Adults ages 18+ who are ready to embark on thrilling adventures, solve mysteries, and conquer dungeons.

Whether you're here to slay dragons, outwit traps, or simply have a great time with fellow adventurers, this program offers a welcoming environment for all players. Sharpen your swords, memorize your spells, and roll the dice—an unforgettable adventure awaits!

For teens, ages 12-18! Whether you want to share your writing with peers or make new friends, this is the perfect place for you. We'll meet for 90 minutes to share our work, discuss what makes great writing, and engage in creative writing exercises.

In the first half of the activity, we'll share our writing with each other. Use the red, yellow, or green light system to indicate the level of feedback you'd like to receive. Please share your work in advance to programs@madisonlib.org or bring a printed copy to the Young League of Writers meeting.

In the second half, we'll dive into a writing marathon, creating and exploring new ideas together.

For teens ages 12-18! Grab your friends and come hang out! We'll have the music pumping while you get creative and make an awesome art project to take home. 

Bring your handwork, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, or whatever it is you do for an informal evening of crafting and adult comradery.

In this classic role-playing game, you create your character, choose how they interact with the story, and use dice to decide the outcomes of your actions.

This event is open to all teens (ages 12 to 18). Both beginners and experienced players are welcome. Bi-monthly sessions will occur; check calendar for scheduled dates.

The game will consist of one, 1 to 2 hour session for first level characters (opportunities to level up are provided between sessions). Experienced players may use their own character if they wish, but pre-made characters will also be available. All characters should be made using only the resources available in the core 5th Edition player’s handbook.

For children ages 3 to 5 with their attending adult. Join us for a special Storytime presentation featuring the cast of FROZEN from the Playmill Theater! Sing songs with Elsa and Anna, hear stories from Kristoff, and excavate a dinosaur "frozen" in ice!  

The Frozen  cast will give TWO identical presentations @ 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., so please only attend ONE!
