This tournament will be monitored by our own chess and game master, Nick Allison. Spectators are welcome, so bring your family and friends! Please enter through the Community Room Door.

Teen Action Council

The Teen Action Council gathers to discuss plans and come up with ways for the Library to serve teens. Select participants ages 13-18 are invited to join us Wednesday, Nov. 5 in the Community Room at 4 PM!

Teen Crafts

Calling all teens ages 12-18! Join us for a fun crafting session on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 4 PM where you’ll learn to crochet adorable jellyfish. Whether you’re a beginner or have some crochet experience, we’ll guide you through each step to create your own colorful jellyfish to take home. All supplies provided. Come hang out, learn a new skill, and get creative with us!

Dungeons & Dragons

Embark on an epic adventure! In this classic role-playing game, you’ll create your character, choose how they interact with the story, and use dice to decide the outcomes of your actions. Whether you’re a seasoned adventurer or new to the world of D&D, all are welcome. Experienced players may bring their own character if they wish, but pre-made characters will also be available. All characters should be made using only the resources available in the core 5th Edition player’s handbook. Join us on Fridays, November 7 & 21 at 3:30 PM for an afternoon of imagination, strategy, and fun!

Young League of Writers

Calling all teen writers ages 12-18! Join us on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 4 PM to share your work, discuss what makes great writing, and sharpen your skills. In the first half, we’ll share our writing using a red, yellow, or green light feedback system. Please, submit your work in advance as a Google Doc or PDF to programs@madisonlib.org or bring a typed, printed copy. In the second half, we’ll have dedicated silent writing time where you can focus on your own projects and ideas. Whether you want to share your writing with peers or make new friends, this is the place for you! For more information and to sign up for notifications, visit the Madison Library Teen Zone
