Story Time and Early Literacy

Join us this summer as we explore the rainbow through stories, songs, and sensory fun! Each week brings a new color to celebrate:

  • June 9–11: Red Alert / Rojo

  • June 16–18: Yellow Brick Road / Amarillo

  • June 23–25: Out of the Blue / Azul

  • June 30 – July 2: Green Thumb / Verde

  • July 7–9: Royal Purple / Morado

  • July 14–16: Orange You Glad You’re Here? / Naranja

  • July 21–23: Black and White All Over / Blanco y Negro

Preschool Story Time for ages 2-5 meets Tuesdays at 10:30 AM and 6:30 PM as well as Wednesdays at 10:30 AM.

Hora Del Cuento en Español (Spanish Story Time) es para niños de 2 a 5 años y sus adultos los lunes a las 10:30 AM.

Toddler Time is for ages 10-23 months on Mondays and Tuesdays at at 9:30 AM.

Book Babies is for little ones not yet walking on Wednesdays at 9:30 AM.

Chess and Game Club

Sharpen your skills and challenge your mind with the master of fun and strategy— Nick Allison! Learn to play chess and a variety of other awesome games. All supplies provided—just bring your game face every Monday at 4:30 PMDon’t miss our annual Water Mancala event on June 23! It’s classic strategy with a splash!

Free Family Friendly Films

Kick off your summer with our Free Family Friendly Films series—Wednesdays at 1:00 PM! Enjoy new releases including Mufasa: The Lion King on June 11Sonic the Hedgehog 3 on June 18, and Paddington in Peru on June 25—all on the big screen. All ages welcome, kids 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible party (14+). Join us for an afternoon of movie fun in the Community Room!

Armchair Traveler Challenge: Apprentice Artist

Reading can inspire creativity and we are painting a masterpiece! Take an epic journey with us this year as we explore the world of art, from color and style to history and industry. Armchair travelers will read books to create a portfolio of canvases that earn them opportunities to enter the final drawing for our grand prizes.
