Storytime: Green
Green is the color of grass, trees, and many leaves. It makes us think of nature, spring, and fresh things growing. Frogs, peas, and apples can be green too! Green is a calm and happy color that helps us feel peaceful and full of energy. It’s like a big hug from nature!
For a fun and creative way to explore the color green, make a “Green Collage” with your child. First, gather different green materials like paper scraps, magazine pictures, fabric pieces, or stickers. With some glue and a large sheet of paper or cardboard, arrange and stick all their green treasures to create a colorful collage full of different shades and textures. You can also use green crayons or markers to add drawings or designs. This activity will help your child recognize the color green while encouraging creativity and fine motor skills in a playful, hands-on way.

Tip
Waiting is not easy, but it can be one of the most important concerts a child can learn. For some children, it comes naturally, and others, it’s difficult. Determine the waiting expectations for your child and find opportunities to hone their waiting skills.
Activity
Because repeating an activity helps children become more comfortable and responsive to it, try playing Red Light! Green Light! or Stop! And wait… with familiar games like If You’re Happy and You Know It.
