Calling all adventurers! Dive into a world of imagination, strategy, and camaraderie with our Dungeons & Dragons program for adults. Whether you're a seasoned Dungeon Master or a curious first-timer, come battle fearsome foes and shape your own story in the world's greatest tabletop role-playing game. New players get pre-made characters and guidance to get started. We will meet Tuesdays, October 6 and 20, from 5:30–7:30 PM, in the Community Room.
Creative Writing Club

Pick a recipe from one of our featured Dolly Parton cookbooks on display at circulation — Good Lookin' Cookin' by Dolly Parton and Rachel Parton George, or The Unofficial Dollywood Cookbook by Erin Browne — make it at home, and bring it to share with the group. Choose the session that works for you: Friday, October 16 from 7:00–8:00 PM, or Thursday, October 22 from 11:30 AM –1:00 PM. Both sessions are in the Community Room for adults 18+.

Want to watch a fun movie on the big screen? We've got new favorites and classics lined up for an afternoon of movie fun. On Friday, October 16 at 3:30 PM we’re showing Toy Story 5 (PG). Parents should prescreen films for their little ones. All children 12 and under must be accompanied by someone age 14+.
Armchair Traveler Challenge
Reading is the perfect way to unearth information, entertainment, and understanding, and we are ready to delve into some great books! This year’s challenge has us grabbing our shovels and burrowing into the pages! Field Techs will read one book for each challenge, earning stickers and opportunities to win prizes in our grand prize drawing.
Any reader who fulfills even a portion of their Artifact Journal will earn small prizes along the way, but readers who complete all 10 Inventory Logs will earn the 2026 Armchair Traveler Field Tech Prize.
