First Day to Submit Entries for the Accidentally Wes Anderson Photo Contest

Film director Wes Anderson has a distinctive style that many attempt to mimic. A recent book, Accidentally Wes Anderson, shares views of the best efforts by professional photographers. If all those pros are having such a good time making Wes Anderson fakes, we thought it might be fun for our patrons to do so as well.
Take a look at the style hints found in the adult section display case and take some photos that you think are "Accidently Wes Anderson." Send it to programs@madisonlib.org or leave it at the Circulation Desk by November 1, and we'll display them during the month of November.
The three photos judged to be closest to Anderson's style will receive a copy of the book.

You’ve been entrusted with a mission straight from the mischievous minds of Fred and George Weasley. This Halloween, the twins have concocted an epic prank that will have Hogwarts buzzing for weeks. However, Filch has confiscated the secret ingredient for their prank.
Fred and George have tasked you to sneak into Filch’s office, navigate through his traps and puzzles, and retrieve the item before time runs out.
Can you outwit the castle's vigilant caretaker and help the Weasley twins pull off their grand prank?
The escape room is free of charge but will be on a first come, first serve basis, so sign up while you can! It will take approximately 45 minutes to complete the room including the instruction before the start of the activity. We ask that you arrive in a timely manner. If you are late, we may not have enough time to let you into the room.
Who Can Participate:
Ages: 8 and up
Note: Participants 12 and under must be accompanied by someone 14 years or older.

Rex Dexter is itching to have a dog. He was practically born to have one. His name is Rex, for crying out loud. It’s a dog’s name. Any pooch is preferable, but a chocolate Labrador is the pinnacle. The best of the best. The dream of all dreams.
When Rex’s B-Day for Me-Day finally arrives, his parents surprise him with a box. A box with holes. A box with holes and adorable scratchy noises coming from inside. Could it be? Yes! It has to be! A . . . a . . .
Chicken?
Pet poultry?
How clucky.
One hour and fourteen minutes later, the chicken is dead (by a steamroller), Rex is cursed (by the Grim Reaper), and wild animals are haunting Rex’s room (hounding him for answers). Even his best friend Darvish is not going to believe this, and that kid believes everything.
Rex’s uninvited ghostly guests are a chatty, messy bunch. And they need Rex to solve their mysterious deadly departures from the Middling Falls Zoo before it happens again.
