Talk, Play, Grow: How Everyday Conversations Build a Child’s Future
September 17, 2026 from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Location: Community RoomSee more detailsThis event requires registration. Please sign-up here.
Little Conversations, Big Futures.
What if some of the most important things you can do to prepare your child for school don't require worksheets, flashcards, or extra homework? They happen during breakfast, in the car, while getting dressed, reading a book, playing with toys, cooking dinner, or simply talking together.
Everyday conversations give young children the language foundation they need to become successful readers and communicate throughout life.
Join Dr. David Allen (BYU–Idaho) to learn how talking, listening, playing, and following your child's interests build more than vocabulary—they build thinking skills, confidence, and a foundation for learning.
Parents will meet with Dr. Allen for 30 minutes while children engage in activities in the Community Room, then reunite to practice together and share a snack.
For Children Ages 0-4 and Their Parents
Sponsored by Idaho AEYC and Madison ELAC.
