TRUSTEES BOARD MEETING - MINUTES

December 21, 1999

Rosemary called meeting to order about 5:12 p.m.

Madison Library Board members present were Rosemary Morrell, Blaine Robertson, Nyna Moss, Brent Eames, and Debora Scholes. Frank Nelson, Idaho State Library Consultant, Lynn Archibald from Archibald Insurance, and Johnny Watson.

Lynn Archibald discussed Long and Short Disability Insurance. The board requested that Lynn explain the different disability insurance plans. Employees can add spouses and children to those plans.

Johnny Watson discussed what work had been completed and what still needed to be done. He will work with Debora and the staff on the remodeling plans.

Roger Jackson arrived at 5:35 p.m.

Johnny suggested at the Library’s future building expansion be included with the High School future expansion plan.

Johnny had a conceptional plan which included both the High School and Library. Brent motioned that the library researches the plan and work with the School District. Nyna seconded the motion.

Blaine left at 5:50 p.m.

Randy and Melanie Sutton went over the annual audit. Randy suggested that the library check with the State Treasure on the State Pool Investment Plan. It was also suggested that a Surplus on Fixed Assets Policy be drawn.

Minutes approved.

Bills approved.

The board discussed the Long and Short Term Disability Insurance. The cost estimation would be $153 per month per employee. The employee would have better insurance coverage.

Roger moved that the long and short term disability insurances are furthered investigated.

Brent seconded the motion.

Staff Christmas Bonuses and a pizza buffet luncheon were approved.

Meeting adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
