SPECIAL TRUSTEE BOARD MEETING

The special meeting was called to order at 5 pm by Blaine Robertson, chairman. Board members present were Henry Benavidez, Blaine Robertson, Gordon Timothy, and Judy Dewey, secretary.

Site Fire Line

The first item of business was a discussion of the cost to install the water line for the fire suppression system for the new library. The line will enter the building at the southwest corner of the old part of the library where the young adult shelving is now located and which will become the storage room for the Foundation book store in the new library. This water line was omitted from the architectural drawings and was not included in the bid submitted by the general contractor. The total cost, including repairing the asphalt in the city’s parking lot, is $26,781.90.

After discussion, Gordon moved and Henry seconded the motion to approve the additional cost.

Signing Checks

Because the rate of interest paid by Zions Bank is almost twice that of the state’s Local Government Investment Pool, two checks were signed to transfer funds to accounts at Zions Bank.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:10 pm.
