SPECIAL TRUSTEE BOARD MEETING

A special meeting to canvass the vote of the special bond election held August 5, 2008, was called to order at 5:10 pm by Blaine Robertson, chairman. Board members present were Gordon Timothy, Blaine Robertson, Jeanna Huff, Judy Dewey, and Pam Beard via telephone.

Canvass of Votes

After discussion and congratulations all around for the splendid turn out and response from the residents of the district, Resolution No. 5 canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the special bond election was adopted upon Gordon’s motion and Jeanna’s second. Votes cast: 1,400; votes in favor: 1041; votes against: 359. The bond needed 66 2/3% majority to pass; 74.36% voted in favor.

Judy was asked to write thank you notes to the city for handling the absentee/early voting and to the county for running the election.

A meeting with the architects on August 27^th was tentatively scheduled, pending their ability to attend.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:50 pm upon Gordon’s motion.
